Bun Kabab is a popular street food in Pakistan. It is made of a combination of minced meat, spices and bread, which is then fried. Bun Kabab is usually served with chutney or ketchup, and sometimes with raita (a yogurt-based sauce).
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1/2 cup chopped onion
– 1 teaspoon ground ginger
– 1 teaspoon ground cumin
– 1 teaspoon ground coriander
– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
– 1/4 cup chickpea flour
– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
– 6 hamburger buns, split
– Chutney or ketchup (for serving)
– Raita (for serving)
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, ginger, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and cilantro. Mix well.
2. Shape the mixture into 6 oval patties.
3. Place the chickpea flour in a shallow bowl. Dredge the patties in the flour to coat.
4. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the oil. Add the patties and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
